Position Overview

Optigy is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in Laredo, TX. This position offers flexible scheduling in a busy emergency department environment with a strong focus on high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license and TX DEA (must be in hand)

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family/Internal Medicine (ABFM/ABIM or osteopathic equivalents)

• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty

• Certified in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS

• Documentation required:

  • CME (past 2 years)

  • Case logs (past 2 years)

  • Copies of diplomas and training certificates

  • SS card, driver’s license, and recent color photo

  • Proof of TB/Flu compliance

  • Annual completion of 9 hours Stroke CME and 9 hours Trauma CME

  • ATLS not required for ABEM physicians (initial certification only)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients of all ages

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation

• Deliver care consistent with professional and hospital standards

Additional Information

• Daily overtime after 12 hours; weekly OT after 168 hours
