Position Overview

Optigy is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum assignment in Corsicana, TX. This position offers flexible scheduling within a 24-hour emergency department that provides comprehensive acute care services to the local community.

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license and TX DEA in hand

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or osteopathic equivalents)

• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty

• Must be willing to work day and night shifts

• If board certified in Family or Internal Medicine, must have at least 2,000 hours of emergency department experience

• Current certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

• Annual requirement: 9 hours Trauma CME

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum emergency medical care for adult and pediatric patients

• Collaborate with APPs and clinical staff to maintain patient flow and safety

• Complete accurate and timely documentation in EMR (MedHost)

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold professional standards of care

Position Details

• Annual ED Volume: ~21,000

• Trauma Level: IV

• 24-hour physician coverage (12-hour shifts)

• 12-hour APP coverage daily

• Chest Pain Accredited facility

• EMR: MedHost
