Job Summary

• Full-time Emergency Medicine physician needed at a high-volume community ED in Louisiana

• Annual ED volume: 28,415

• Approx. 79 patients per day; 11.3% EMS, 8.7% admission rate

• ED has 10 beds, no trauma designation

• MD/DO coverage: 34 hours daily

• NP/PA coverage: 12 hours daily

• Shift times: 7a–7p, 2p–12a, 7p–7a (Physician); 9a–9p (NP/PA)

• Must be BE/BC in EM, FM, or IM; if not ABEM-certified, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are required

• Residency training preferred but not mandatory

• Providers must complete orientation, EMR training, and a shadow shift

Credentialing Requirements

• Active Louisiana medical license

• ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM accepted (ABPS not accepted)

• Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days

• Immunizations required (waiver considered)

• Travel and lodging paid

• Clean file preferred for expedited onboarding
