Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine

Overview:
Optigy is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to provide emergency care coverage in Eagle Pass, TX. This position offers a flexible schedule, supportive backup from a stable medical and nursing staff, and the opportunity to work in a Level IV Trauma Center serving a diverse patient population.

Key Details:

• Schedule: Flexible | Daily OT after 12 hours | Weekly OT after 168 hours

• Volume: Approx. 14,700 annual ED visits

• Beds: 101 total | 14 ED beds

• Coverage: 12 hours APP coverage (12pm–12am) | 12-hour scribe coverage

• Start Date: December 1, 2025 | Open-ended

• Days to Credential: ~24 days

• Reason: Coverage need

• Documentation System: T-System

• Scheduling: Conducted 4–6 weeks in advance

• Attire: Scrubs or professional attire

• Trauma Level: IV

• Backup Services: OB/GYN, ENT, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Family Practice, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Anesthesiology, Hyperbaric Medicine, Pulmonology, and Wound Care

Requirements:

• Active Texas Medical License

• Valid DEA (TX)

• NP: ANCC/AANP Certification

• PA: NCCPA Certification

• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and NRP certifications

• Emergency Medicine experience preferred

• CME and case logs for the past 2 years
