- Specialty:
- Gastroenterology
- Coverage Needs:
- ASAP – Ongoing
- Looking for coverage for 1-2 weeks per month
- Shifts:
- Blocks are Monday-Sunday
- 0730-1700
- Ideal schedule would be M-TH inpatient/elective procedures/ consults + Fri- Sun 24 hour call coverage but can be flexible
- Call:
- Take 24 hour call a few times per block (flexible)
- Setting:
- Inpatient Coverage and elective Scoping
- Mornings: Inpatient coverage -few hours of elective procedures + incoming/urgent procedures + rounding
- Afternoons: consults
- Trauma Level 3
- Census:
- ~40 per week of procedures (combination of elective and urgent/emergent inpatient/ ER patients
- 10/15 patient consults
- Support Staff:
- Will be an NP available
- Hospital provides Endoscopy tech, Nurses, and support staff
- Procedures:
- Endoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- EMR:
- Epic
- Board Certification:
- BC required
- Travel:
- Hospital will cover
- Credentialing timeline:
- 60 days for full privileges
- Temps available
- Requirements:
- Active NY license (or will license)
- Gastro Fellowship
- ACLS/BLS/PALS
