Job Description

- Coverage Needs:
- 6/15 – 9/30
- Potential for extension
- Shifts:
- Monday – Friday 7am-330pm
- Call:
- Call is 24 hours (7a-7p)
- Have first and second call for each day (Second call rarely utilized after 7pm)
- First call usually comes in 1-2 times per night
- 1st and 2nd call – 7am-7pm plus call from 7p-7a
- 3rd call is 7a-7pm
- Call includes OB
- Not inhouse but require 15-minute response time
- Setting:
- 100% OR work (no clinic)
- Trauma Level 3 with ACS
- Census:
- Average surgeries per day: 4-5
- Support Staff:
- Midsize ANES group
- Rare CRNA supervision (2 in practice)
- Full support staff (Techs, PA’s Nurses)
- Procedures:
- Bread and Butter Surgical cases (mostly Ortho and GS)
- Will do regional blocks for OR cases
- No CT, Neuro, or cranial cases
- Preferred Procedures include OB/Gyn, Ortho, Gen Surgery, Plastic, Vascular, Colo-Rectal, ENT, GI, Urology
- No high risk peds but will see healthy children if can see PEDS (not required)
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified or eligibility required
- Travel:
- Facility will cover
- Credentialing timeline:
- Expedited Onboarding hoping for ASAP start
- Temp priveleges can be requested with clean background
- Requirements:
- Active NY state license
- Active DEA in NY or willing to transfer
- Active ACLS
- MMR certification
