HIGH-VOLUME EMERGENCY MEDICINE OPPORTUNITY

Bristol Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a busy Level II Trauma Center seeing approximately 47,000 ED visits annually.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a well-supported emergency department with dedicated APP coverage, Epic EMR, and a strong physician coverage model.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited 3-year Emergency Medicine residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
• Active DEA registration with a Tennessee address
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
• ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates

Board eligibility/certification accepted through:

• ABEM
• ABFM
• ABIM
• ABPS
• AOA

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• ACLS
• ATLS
• PALS if not ABEM Board Certified
• NRP required for non-ABEM providers

CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS

Providers must be able to meet facility credentialing requirements, including:

• MMR and Varicella records or immunity titers
• Two-Step TB testing within the previous 12 months
• QuantiFERON Gold accepted per facility requirements
• Case logs for the previous 2 years
• Specialized procedural training documentation, if applicable
• Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME upon initial application and every 2 years

MALPRACTICE COVERAGE

$1M per claim / $3M aggregate

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The selected physician will serve as a supervising physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants and must meet all Bristol Regional Medical Center credentialing and privileging requirements.
