SCP Health is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic emergency medicine team, provide high-quality patient care, and make an immediate impact in a community hospital setting.

• 14-bed Emergency Department

• Physician coverage: 7a-7p and 7p-7a

• Additional NP coverage: 11a-11p

• Temporary privileges available

• Estimated privileging timeframe: 120 days

• $1M/$3M malpractice coverage

• Supported by specialties including OBGYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Family Medicine

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency in:

  • Emergency Medicine preferred

  • Family Medicine

  • Internal Medicine

• Must be currently practicing in an Emergency Department

• Emergency Medicine experience required

• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license

• Active DEA registration with a Texas address

• DEA must include Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V

• DEA must be fee-paid; fee-exempt registrations are not accepted

• Board Certified or Board Eligible preferred

• Emergency Medicine board certification preferred

Required Certifications

Current certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross:

• ACLS

• ATLS

• PALS

• NRP

Credentialing Requirements

Providers will need to submit:

• State medical license

• DEA certificate

• Board certification, if applicable

• Residency completion documentation

• Driver’s license/photo ID

• Case logs from the past 24 months

• CME documentation from the past 2 years
