URGENT PHYSICIAN OPPORTUNITY – MISSISSIPPI

Immediate Need | Approximately 8 Shifts per Month

We are seeking physicians for an urgent coverage opportunity in Mississippi. Physicians with backgrounds in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Approximately 8 shifts per month

• Annual Patient Volume: 17,400

• Urgent Coverage Need

Requirements

• Medical License: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license required at presentation.

• DEA: Mississippi DEA required with Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V. Pending DEA applications accepted.

• Residency: Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency required.

• Board Certification: Not required for physicians who have completed the required residency.

• Third-Year Residents: Accepted.

• Postgraduate Training: Physicians with 1 year of postgraduate training may be considered if board certified.

• Accepted Specialties: Emergency Medicine (EM), Family Medicine (FM/FP), and Internal Medicine (IM).

• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required. ABEM exemption applies.

• Board Certifications: ABPS and AAPS are not accepted.

Credentialing Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience requested.

• Case logs from the past 2 years requested but not required.

• CME documentation from the past 2 years.

• TB Testing: Two-step PPD or QuantiFERON-TB Gold blood test completed within 0-30 days before the start date.

• Required immunization documentation.

• Criminal background check completed before orientation and privileging.
