Opportunity Highlights

Seeking experienced Emergency Medicine physicians for a full-time opportunity in Louisiana. This position offers a consistent 12-hour day-shift schedule, NP/PA support in Fast Track, and an established emergency department with approximately 14,000 annual visits.

Three full-time physicians are needed to support ongoing coverage requirements.

Schedule and Coverage

• Shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

• Coverage Need: 3 full-time physicians

• Total Staffing Requirement: 42 physician shifts per month

• Fast Track Support: NP/PA coverage from 10:00 AM-10:00 PM

• Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 14,000 visits

• Average Daily Volume: Approximately 38 patients

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with current PALS, ATLS, and ACLS certifications

Additional requirements include:

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience

• Active Louisiana medical license

• Board certification in hand

• Louisiana DEA registration in hand

• Louisiana Controlled Substance registration in hand

Licensing and Credentialing

The opportunity has been approved for IMLC as of July 8, 2026. However, an active Louisiana medical license is mandatory before submission. IMLC eligibility does not replace the requirement for an active state license.

All required licenses, registrations, and board certification must be in hand before candidate presentation.
