Locum Emergency Medicine Physician – Texas

We are seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a Level IV Trauma Center in Texas. This is a long-term opportunity with a September 2026 start and potential for 6-12 months of coverage.

Opportunity Highlights

• Start: September 2026

• Assignment: 6-12 months

• Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a

• Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 31,000 visits

• Trauma Level: IV

• EMR: Medhost

• Travel & Lodging: Provided

• Privileging: Approximately 90 days, with expedited privileges available for clean files

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or a related specialty

• Board Certified in EM, FM, IM, or General Surgery

• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license required prior to presentation

• Active Texas DEA with a Texas address and Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV & V

Certifications

EM Board Certified: No additional certifications required.

Non-EM Board Certified: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required.

Credentialing Requirements

• Two years of case logs

• Two years of CME/CEU documentation

• $1M/$3M malpractice coverage

Immunizations

• TB within 12 months

• COVID vaccination

• Flu vaccination within 12 months

• MMR

• Varicella

• Hepatitis B
